Dragonrider/dragon character creation guide

Recently I took a look at my other dragon rp and realized it's kinda needlessly overcomplicated and kinda cliche, so I decided to go more towards a more eragon-like style. Simpler and a bit smaller. There aren't any fire, thunder, or earth dragons, just standard fire-breathers, and the stories I will let vary for the rps. You could be the eragon style of last of what used to be a strong order of dragon-riding knights of justice, or something like the special forces or marines or queen's Air Force, just with swords and dragons instead of guns and planes. So let's start with the dragon riders weapon classes.

Bow: www.deviantart.com/art/Eragon-… you were trained in the arts of hunting, archery and shortswordsmanship. You've become so skilled in archery that you can even fire precise arrows from atop your dragon and charge them with the magical energy flowing through it, you can also see as your dragon can see, further advancing your archery skills. Weapons: bow, shortsword, dragon archery magic.

You grew up wanting to be a calvalryman in the imperial army, like your father and his father before him, then your horse tripped and accidentally broke it's neck on a dragon egg. Sure it was sad losing your family horse, but you have a dragon now, and the fringe benefits are definitely worth losing a horse. The draconic magic flowing into you from your dragon has made you superhumanly strong and durable, and you're especially skilled in dragon vs. dragon midair combat. Equipment: medium dragonrider's armor, bladed spear, dragonish strength, minor lvl regeneration.

Knife/dagger: www.deviantart.com/art/Dragon-…. You are very agile and fast, using only a knife and your bare fists to find a chink or weak point in even the thickest of armor. Specially trained as an imperial spy, you know how to charm the crowd so not a soul will suspect you. That doesn't mean all you do is backstab and cheat your way out of a fight, you can kill both dragon and rider within seconds if put in the right position. Equipment: dual combat knives, light dragonrider armor, draconic reflexes.

Sword: ironshod.deviantart.com/art/St… you are a very balanced dragonrider, not too weak but not all that slow either, you are a very skilled swordsman, making strong but quick strikes with your trusty blade, and while in the air you can do a momentum strengthened swipe strong enough to knock a rider straight off his dragon... If it doesn't slice them in half first. Equipment: medium dragonrider armor, sword, draconic strength, draconic reflexes.

Also as a last little detail I'm going to include equipment typical to all dragonriders: sharsarannon.deviantart.com/ar… pretty much a map and map case, flight log, compass, saddlebag, weapon & sheath, journal, and drink flask.

These are basically character classes for the individual riders and I'm no going to include smaller parts like hair, eyes, or casual clothing, those details are purely cosmetic and therefore do not require description. Those individual parts are left to what we all have been waiting for: the dragons. I would like to reiderate that the pictures I will be posting are only because they have the individual piece I'm looking for, I would like you to only focus I that individual part as opposed to the entire dragon.

Head types:

Beaked: dragonrider364.deviantart.com/… your dragon has a long neck and a beaked, thin, narrow head with a sharp beak and small backwards going teeth made for catching fish. Granted skills: fire breath (nasal), spear (your dragon launches itself through the air at Mach speeds, folding it's limbs and wings against it's body as it's sharp beak Impales an enemy), peck.

Classic: dragonrider364.deviantart.com/…. Your dragon has a big dinorian head remeniscent of a t-rex. It's jaws are strong enough to shatter steel, and it has huge fangs as long as pencils and sharp as steak knives. Granted skills: fire breath (oral), slight dragon size increase, crushing bite.

Wedge shape: dragonrider364.deviantart.com/… your dragon has a wedge shaped head, the most common but not the weakest. Granted skills: fire breath (both oral and nasal), headbutt, bite.

Body type:

Wyvern: www.deviantart.com/art/Skyrim-… your dragon has two legs and two wings, and when it's on the ground it uses it's wings as extra legs, walking on all fours. These wings have a single thick, vicious claw on each tip. Granted skills: wing gust, impaling claw.

Bipedal: www.deviantart.com/art/europeo… your dragon has two legs, two wings, and two arms, giving it good dexterity on top of sharp claws and good maneuverability. Granted skills: double claw, dive, grabbing bite, grabbing fire breath.

Quadrupedal: www.deviantart.com/art/Dragon-… your dragon moves reliably on four strong, sturdy legs. It isnt as reliable as the biped but it can be very sure footed and undeniably very strong.
